MAKE A DATE — WEEKEND CHALLENGE

The Maui Experience:

Arrived on Maui today for the Kapalua Wine & Food Festival. The festivities kicked off at Hutton’s with a reception featuring live music and selections of reds and whites.

I was so happy to be reuniting and  hanging out with Elizabeth Ferrer and Lianne Thompson. We ended up chasing the sunset from Hutton’s (see trees above) to Merriman’s Restaurant –

We toasted the weekend ahead and Maui’s mighty fine sunsets with Effen Shirley Temples (black cherry vodka, most excellent) and Watermelon Margaritas. Yep, it’s gonna be a great weekend…

Bringing it home:

I know many of you aren’t in Maui this weekend, but… no pouting! Wherever you are, make a date to catch sun-up or sundown and watch the landscape transform with the light. I highly recommend doing so over cocktails like the girls and I did. Have a great weekend!

Oh, and don’t forget to leave a comment with contact info to enter Life on a Silver Platter’s first contest for a pinless brooch that’s perfect for travelers.

Oh so much fun Bekah! We always end up trading ghost stories! Can’t wait to chase the sunset again. :)

sunset at Merriman’s! lovely. i was partial to their frosty coconut/pineapple cocktail myself — can’t say no to a pina colada when i’m in tropical climes :)
