Setting My Intentions for Maui

The last couple of days have been a flurry of deadlines, packing and birthday celebrations. As I was going over my packing list for tomorrow’s departure for Maui it occurred to me that perhaps I should be approaching the trip in a different way. Instead of items I need to take, what kind of experience do I plan on having. So here are my preliminary thoughts:

Live in each moment. Don’t miss a thing Maui has to show/teach me.

Try to see my Maui ohana, or family, and friends as much as possible.

Eat as much locally grown fare as possible.

Workout outdoors versus a gym.

Take time to renew and invigorate my spirit.

Share what I encounter with my readers.

The list may grow, but for now, I have some direction, so if I veer off my designated path and my mind starts wandering towards my To Do list versus taking in the view, I can immediately put myself in check. I’ll keep you posted on my progress, but most of all, I’ll bring you Maui via Life on a Silver Platter.

Aloha!

I am so happy for you – what an amazing trip you have ahead! I have been worrying lately about my upcoming trip to Asia – I need a need a new camera, new swimsuit, have nothing to wear, etc… I needed to read this so I can think about things with the right perspective. Thank you!
